This is real classic TPOK Jazz from 1977. Listening to this we think it is terrible all the recordings on the Afro-European Tour LP were not made available without the fake audience noise. Once again Ntesa Dalienst provides one of the best tracks with 'Lisolo Ya Adamo Na Nzambe'

ReplyDeleteWhat's going on with information on jean Munsi Kwamy. I so badly want to know more about this guy and his career. I believe that Kwamy's influence on the rumba is immeasurable. His singing style during those early years of the sixties and seventies laid the foundation for many of his contemporaries and for those who followed. His voice and his phrasing is so unique. I can always tell when Kwamy's voice is in a vocal mix, regardless the number of singers. Yet, Kwamy is the one writer-singer one hardly ever reads or hears about. Could it be that he stepped on too many toes? Or is it because he played with so many groups?
